GOLF Day Confirmed

I have our confirmation letter from the Westersham Golf Club (www.westerhamgc.co.uk) for our GOLF Day on Friday 27th of August 2010, I thought i would give you an update on the status.

Players:

You will notice we have had one drop out below, thus to fill that slot one more player is welcome to join us on the day, i copied here some players who may be interested on this message.

Also we have the option to include a putting competition within our day for an extra £10 for our whole group, i have undertaken that option.

Please do not forget to bring the full amount, £60, in cash or card, as we have paid a deposit and need to settle the account on the day. Plus we need a donation towards prizes, which i expect will automatically go to the Help for Heroes charity and we forgo any of the normal "crap" prizes for putting, nearest the pin and long drive

Please note if you want to cancel, you must do so within 48 hours of our midday tee off, otherwise we as a group will be charged the full fee and thus so will you.

Food:
We have a 3 course meal starting at 17:00 all within the cost of the day, smart casual dress required, i need to confirm numbers and and menu 10 days prior......to save a lot of email traffic, here is the set menu chosen by me.

* Chef's homemade soup of the day and crusty roll
* Turkey, Ham & Leek pie, roast spuds and seasonal veg
* Apple Crumble & Custard
* Shout back now if you have any special dietary needs - cliff needs two plates of food per course obviously, Also we need a vegetarian option for one player, who is the same bloke who does not want to give any money to help for heroes, that says a lot :-)

Bit more information about the golf day

Collection of Fees
I was going to use paypal to collect the fees, a £120 deposit has been paid, however the course wants a cash sum for the balance on the day, we all need to ensure tt you have £60 cash on you for arrival at the course.

Also to confirm other details:
Food: it is Bacon rolls on arrival and a multi course meal when we finish, smart casual dress, no jacket..
Buggies: You can ring the course to book a buggy, you lose 4 strokes for using buggy, cliff :-)

Bakers Golf Day Update

Extra Slots

Due to an overwhelming response, i have requested from the course that we extend the numbers for The Bakers Golf day on the 27th of August 2010 to 12, we now only have one spare slot. I have reserved that one spare slot for 24 hours for Peter Kempster, as he actually DOES play in our pool team, which was the basis for the whole event being created

PETER - 24 hours to confirm, the clock is ticking, No pressure :-)

Collection of Fees
I was going to use paypal to collect the fees, i am a paypal member and they make it easy to collect fees, each player will receive a paypal email with a link to a secure webpage to collect £60 for 'services', from here you can securely transfer fees into my paypal account, from which i can pay the course the total. On the day i will collect a fiver from everyone for the prize fund or charity gift.
